มิสเตอร์แบนโจ

ผมเคยเขียนเรื่อง "ตำราแบนโจ"  ไว้ในบล็อก "ฟังลุงน้ำชาคุย"   วันนี้คิดถึงคุณปิว เจ้าของร้าน Cowboy Corner ตั้งอยู่ตรงหัวมุมสามแยกโรงน้ำแข็ง...

คุณปิวนับว่าเป็นมือแบนโจคนเดียวที่ยังหลงเหลืออยู่ในลำปาง ผมอยากจะเรียกชายคนนี้ว่า "มิสเตอร์แบนโจ"

ผมเคยมีตำราแบนโจอยู่หลายเล่ม แต่มันหายไปพร้อม ๆ กับการชำรุดของ hard disk แต่วันนี้โชคดีไปค้นเจอเล่มนึง คือ American Banjo เป็นตำราสอนให้เล่นแบนโจแบบ Three-Finger and Scruggs Style

Scruggs style is the most common style of playing the banjo in bluegrass music. It is a fingerpicking method, also known as three-finger style. It is named after Earl Scruggs, whose innovative approach and technical mastery of the instrument has influenced generations of bluegrass banjoists ever since he was first recorded in 1946. It contrasts with earlier styles such as minstrel, classic or parlor style (a late 19th-century finger-style played without picks)

เพลง Train 45 ผมไม่รู้จัก แต่คิดว่าคงน่าเล่น...
